stop next record, if field not complete

Hi all,
Ive got a bound form (its actually a subform), but want to ensure that a
specific field is populated before the user can move away from that record.

Can anyone suggest the best method for doing this.? It would need to cover
next record, previous record, and the form (subform) losing focus.

Thanks in advance.

Making it a required field in your table design is the best way.
