Combine 2 tables into 1 virtual recordset

Red
So I inherited this db that has multiple 'orders' tables.
Each order table is name for the year of the orders...
i.e. 2005 is 'Orders-2005', 2006 is "Orders-2006"

So, I am not allowed to change the tables (boss likes how her stuff
works.. bleh...)... but I am being asked to created a way to show all
the orders from the last 12 montsh for a particular item, on demand.
Previously the db was just used for quarterly reports, but she wants
more...

So, without creating a temporary table, how can I combine the 2 tables
into a recordset in which I can query?

Try with a union query.
