Access Combo (Droplist) Not autocompleting

Hi Everyone,

I have been using Access for a good while now and I have just ran into this
problem. I use Access 2003.

I have a combo box that has a SQL statement for is source and it works fine,
but when my users type in the first letter of an item in the list is used to
go to the first item in the list that began with that letter. (Type "N" and
is should goto the first entry that begins with an "N"). I have tried it
with the source as a table, query, and a select statement. To my knowledge
it shouldn't matter what type of source you have as long as the item are
showing in the list.

I have never had this problem before now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your time,
Jody

This is a property you turn on or off. Open the properties window for
the combo box and make sure "autoexpand" (in the data tab) is set to yes.

Hi Jody,

Perhaps you are running into the same problem Andi Plotski had:
