ReCONNECT VB code to Access DB

A customer has an access database that has a custom Visual Basic
compiled (.exe) front end.
The developer is gone.
They have copied the database and program to new computers.
The access database can be opened, but the program does not run.
I suspect that the program is looking for a connection in ODBC/DSN.

Would you have any suggestion if I am on the right track?
If I am on the right track, how to determine what to create there?
Or, should I get started on recreating a new front end against the
database and abandon this track?

The application is an order entry front end used at a trade show. I
was informed on this 'opportunity' last night and the trade show is
next Wednesday.

Thank you for your timely crtiques!

That's possible. If possible you should go back to a machine on which it
runs and see what DSNs it has. A lot depends on what you mean by "does
not run." Are there any error messages, if so what are they. Do the new
machines have the correct runtime libraries installed?
