summing records

I created a report showing several records representing sub totals of a
table
How can I sum all of the records of the table in that report?
I tried using the accumulative total, but in that way, I lose the
intermediate sub totals

The typical scenario is that you would create a report with a grouping
level. That would give you both subtotals per group, and a grand
total. The report wizard can help you create such a report.
