Downloading large table

I need to import a large table from server into Access everyday. The
import procedure from File -> Get External Data -> Import is very slow.
I was thinking about FTP but was told that it's only for files, not
table. Can anyone suggest how to automate this download process?
Thanks in advance.

By Server do you mean SQL Server?
If so, you should drive the process from that end (if you have access).
The Import/Export data wizard in Enterprise Manager is easiest way to
go for a simple export.
