cannot lock database

i have a number of databases on a network
i have pulled all the tables from the databases into one database
on open i run an autoexec which call a macro to
1. delete existing table
2. import the table

i am now getting an error telling i cannot lock to the table beacuse it
is in use by another person
i checked the dbase is closed
i have full read write save priviages
can anyone tell me how i can resovle this problem

is the tmpfile closed

Check for a .ldb file in the folder containing your database. If this
file exists, delete it. Then try to delete the table again.
