Jeff, there are many, many possible causes - anything from a bad graphics
card driver, a corrupted hard disk, a power glitch, or a network problem,
through to a corruption of the database due to one of the many bugs in
Access itself.
It is possible to set minimize the number of times you get bitten though.
Work through each of the issues listed in this article:
Preventing Corruption

After you get past the hardware issues, the first 6 issues in the section
"Preventing corruption during development" are crucial.

raggle fraggle and so on
Why does this happen? I had just entered some code and when I saved the
form, through the menu option, Access nicely shutdown and lost the
changes. I know, I should save often, but I was on a roll.
But why does it do this. Sometimes when I just close a form in design mode
with the close box it does this. Closes the whole instance of Access.
Anybody got any ideas as it is so intermittent and I can't find anything
about this problem.
Jeff
