odbc timeout

I have list box showing list of worksheet with double click event:
Dim rs3 As Object
Set rs3 = Me.Recordset.Clone
rs3.FindFirst "[ID] = " & Str(Me![ResultsFound])
Me.Bookmark = rs3.Bookmark
Dim appttype As Variant
appttype = DLookup("[type]", "tblws", "[ID] = " &
Str(Me![ResultsFound]))
DoCmd.OpenForm "frmWS", , , "[ID]=" & Me![id]

When table is local to Access:
The correct worksheet comes up. It says filtered 1 of 1. You can
update it, save it and close it.

I upsized all tables to SQL and linked them in Access.
Worksheet comes up, but now after worksheet is updated, as I click to
save it, I get:
ODBC update on linked table 'tblws' failed. Timeout expired.

If I open the same form frmWS, and do a filter by selection, everything
works.
So what is the issue with my code above that it doesn't work on sql
server?
Thanks in advance.
