design question

Does anyone know of an example of an Access ("leave tracking," "employee
hours worked," "sick hours used," "vacation hours accumulated," etc.)
database I could look at?

I'm having conceptual problems with creating tables that elegantly holds
Daily data for multiple varieties of time off and comp time. I must be able
to perform calculations on these fields. I can do my own queries, reports,
etc. but the elegant part has me scratching my head.

If it's ot a holiday and the employee is not on leave, not sick and not on
vacation, then the employee must be working. So you don't need a table fpr hours
worked.

assuming different types of work hours (regular, overtime, double
time), you might need to track hours worked

so you'd have types of hours
regular time
overtime
double time
leave
sick
vacation
jury duty
vacation
holiday
etc

so you'd track that with
tblTimeType
timeTypeId (pk)
timeType
employeePaid (yes/no)

and you'd need just one table to track by employee
tblTimeCapture
timeCaptureId (pk)
empId (fk)
timeTypeId (fk)
startDate
startTime
endDate
endTime
