Trouble with order by clause in report

P: n/a
Something is wrong with my report in Access.

In the query for the report I have an order by clause. However, when
I run the report, it comes out in a different order. Is there
something else that controls the report ordering of the detail section
that I am not considering?

Thank you.

Have a look at the Sorting and Grouping property of the report... it
overrides the sort order in the query.

1) Any sort order in the query is irrelevant to the sort order of a
report.
2) The proper place to sort data in a report is in the Report's
Sorting and Grouping dialog.
In Report Design View, click View + Sorting and Grouping.
