trying to copy an Access 2003 pivot table to excel or word .... or something

Okay
So I've got pivot tables setup in Access 2003.
Only about 30K records in the current 2005 databases...the pivots
summarize the info in a number of nice ways.

I need to get the pivot tables into a document so I can distribute the
tables, as is, as an electronic report (without the detailed data)
So I export to rtf and xls, and I get an error that there is a too
much information. I don't want all the data, just the summary table!

Prining to a pdf works nice, but then I have headaches trying to
manipulate that format.

The only thing that I can get to work is to highlight and individualy
copy the rows, columns, and data area and paste into excel.
There has to be a better way

Thats what I've been doing, Tom - but I don't get the pivot table.
I get a spreadsheet with ALL the raw (database) data, and its too many
tows for excel to handle

I am mystified too

I Access 97 this functionality worked fine..I could export just the
pivot table (I used it all the time).

The pivots I have are small (10 rows by 4-7 columns)

With Access 2003, when I am in PT view and export, or publish it with
excel, or analyze with with excel, I get an error message that says
I'm trying to export too many rows and that it has exceed the 65000
row limit..please go back and limit what you're tryig to export

I call this the "is-it-plugged-in?" scenario.

I once wasted 2 hours at a client's, trying to set up a DSL router,
and couldn't get it to work. When I finally got around to checking,
I realized the network cable was simply not firmly seated in the
jack.

So, I always make a point of going through these kinds of elementary
yet still fundamental troubleshooting tasks as a matter of course.
But I try to be gentle about it, since I'm as prone to making this
kind of error as anyone else.
