sending fax

Dear All,

I need to send faxes from Access to some companies that doesn't have a
computer (!) or some that prefer receiving a fax.
On Friday-evening a routine should send a ToDo-list for the next week to all
the contractants. Most as email but some as fax.
The routine loops all contractants, checks the send-mode and send to the
ToDo-list.
The hole routine sends about 30 emails and 10 faxes.
Before i finish the routine and start testing i'd like to have your opinion,
please!

Should I use:

1. DoCmd.SendObject acReport,"RapportName",acFormatRTF, "[fax: " & ![fax] &
"]", , , "Your weekly list", , True
or
2. Create a Word-document with DoCmd.OutputTo and then use
expression.SendFaxOverInternet(Recipients, Subject, ShowMessage) in Word.

Can you give my the goods and bads of both methodes?

Thanksł,

Filip

Hi Filip

I haven't had to do this much in projects, but did use the SendObject method
in a project that has been running for years without a problem. Maybe
someone else can advise on the Word approach as I have never tried it.

If you get the email part to work, you might want to look at
https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/email...?se=%2B&ci=423

Its a fax thru email service.

Never used it so I don't know how good it is.
MS-Access can interface with winfax via an API. That might be an
option for you as well.
