Form to Subform Linking

I have a form that has a combo box on it. The combo box is based on the
following query: SELECT DISTINCT GLDESC FROM GL_Code_Desc This query is in
the Controls Data>Row Source property. This build a list of the department
names. (No Duplicates)

I have a subform that is based on a query view that displays department
information. (Service Codes, descriptions, and price)

What I want to happen is this: what ever name is chosen in the combo box I
want the sub form to display only those department records. Also I want to
be able to have this update on the fly, so when a new department name is
chosen, but the form is not closed and re-opened, the data on the sub form
changes to display the new department information.

I do not have any child or master fields specified. I tried to specify them
but I could not get it right and the form gave me errors every time it
opened.

Does any one know how to do this?

Thanks in advance
