First Time Portrait ...

P: n/a
I have an Access 2002 system with a number of reports which all run
fine. However, sometimes reports in Landscape format appear in Portrait
when you first open them. To get the correct (landscape) formatting all
we have to do is to close and re-open the report (no other changes) and
then it is OK.

Has anyone else come across this problem? I am opening with
docmd.openreport and have played around with other (VBA) commands but I
really don't think that this is the cause of the problem.

If anyone has any suggestions or tips, that would be a great help.

Regards and thanks,
Alan Searle

Is the report set to portrait?

Is the report's printer set to Default Printer or a specific printer?

What is the printer set to?

The problem reports are set to landscape but display (on first opening)
as portrait.
Is the report's printer set to Default Printer or a specific printer?
The default printer is set.
What is the printer set to?

What do you mean here? Whether the printer default is portrait or
landscape? If this were important, then I imagine it would mess up our
landscape reports.

Anyway, I hope you have an idea and I really find it hard to believe
that such a silly problem has occurred.

Alan Searle.

Yes, in the Printer's setting what is the default (it shouldn't matter
though).

Not sure what the problem is, but perhaps try updating your printer
drivers?

OK. I'll give it a try :-) Thanks for checking out my problem.

Cheers,
