date reference from loaded form

P: n/a
Hello,
Re: Access 2000
I know that to use a date criteria on a query, you have to surround it
with pound signs. I am having a problem when I reference a date from a
loaded form. Here is my date criteria:

#[Forms]![InstForm].[txtStartDt]#

When I run the query, I get this message: "The expression you entered
has an invalid date value."

Can somebody, please, tell me what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

That requirement is only for literal dates such as:
#1/1/2005#
Take them off your field reference, and all will be better.
