Form Losing Data

P: n/a
I have a front end database file linked to a back end database file.
Periodically (every few months?), a form name frmStallSvcContract which
is based on a query comes up without data. The fields are present but
there is not any data shown. The data shows up in the underlying query.
My fix that always works is to reimport a copy of the form from a
backup of the database. When I do that I can see the data fine.
However, I would like to solve this problem once and for all.

I've compared the active form and the back up form but do not see any
difference when the active form goes bad.

Any solutions or areas to look at? My system is Windows XP professional
running SP2.

Thanks in advance.

The symptoms suggest that the database file is corrupting.
The fact that recreating solves the problem confirms that idea.

For suggestions on how to prevent the database corrupting, see:

There's a list of hardware and software issues to work through.

If the hardware all looks good, check the service packs of Office and JET.

If your users have different versions of Access (e.g. some on 2000 and some
on 2002), make sure Name AutoCorrect is off, compact, and use the lowest
version to decompile the file. Compact again. then compile, and release an
MDE. Distribute to *each* user. If this still corrupts, you're probably back
to the hardware issues again.
