Need help with Input Mask

Hi All,
Been trying to get a typed entry to display as I neeed it to and can't
get it to work. I've been playing around with field datatype and input
mask but no luck so, maybe you can help

example;
I want the user to be able to enter 1.5 in a box on a form and when the
user presses tab or enter I want the value to display and store as
01.50
If the user enters .5 I want it displayed/stored as 00.50
if the user enters 2 I want it displayed/stored as 02.00
if the user enters .06 I want it displayed/stored as 00.06

I want the zero's, so far using a number datatype drops zero's, using
currency datatype adds a dollar sign($), using date/time forces me to
have to type a " : ". And in trying to use an input mask ##.##;0;_
doesn't allow me to enter .5 or 2 I have to enter 0.5 or 2.0

so, I'm having trouble seeing the forrest cause the trees are in my
way......
thanks
bobh.

Try this in the table field properties:
field size = double
format = 00.00
decimal places = 2
