Form controls have vanished...researched to no avail!

I've searched this site for a few hours without a solution to my
problem. Please help~ In short, the controls on my form have vanished.
I can see nothing but a gray screen and grayed out navigator buttons
on the lower left of the form, with no record count (118 records) to
the right of the navigator buttons as I am used to seeing.

The record source of this form is set to tbl_Employees. This table has
118 records as verified by opening it up and viewing the data. When I
view the form in datasheet view, I see the row headers, but no data
appears in the table. It seems like the data table has been
disassociated from the form.

I've been working with this form for weeks without problems. It has a
tab control and several subforms on the control. There are no headers
or footers on the form.

The Visible property of the Detail section is set to True, but adding
new controls from the same table to the Detail section still yields a
blank form in Design view. Adding controls (navigation combo box, text
box) to a newly added form header results in my being able to see these
in form view, but with no access to records in my table.

I have removed the data source in the properties window, saved the
form, closed and then re-opened, and re-associated tbl_employees to the
record source to no avail.

I've set Data Entry to Yes and No with no success.

This problem happened when Access prompted me to save the form and
instead of asking myself if I made any changes, I just went ahead and
saved the form and all associated subforms.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed...

Regards,

Paul

Try opening the record source for the form and see if there are any records.

David,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have checked the record source many
times. The table to which the form is attached has many records--118
to be exact. I created replica of tbl_employees with a differnt name,
and also a qry_Employees query. As soon as I re-assign the new table
or query to the record souce, I automatically get the following line in
my Filter property of my Form.

((((tbl_Employee.tbl_empID="00001"))) AND
((tbl_Employee.tbl_empID="00001"))) AND
((tbl_Employee.tbl_empID="00001"))

Why does this appear, and could this be causing the problem. Of
course, when I remove this statement, the problem doesn't go away...
