Set ExpiredTime on KeyDown

There has been considerable discussion on this group regarding
Microsoft's Q210297 (link below) about detecting idle time. I have
successfully implemented this code within the primary form ("test") of
the db. Form "test" has a command button to open another form "edit".
While entering data into "edit", the timer on "test" continues due to
inactivity on that form. I've tried to reset the ExpiredTime to 0 on
KeyDown from within "edit" without success. How can I set ExpiredTime
to 0 from another form? Is there a better solution to this problem
overall?

Private Sub Form_KeyDown(KeyCode As Integer, Shift As Integer)
Static ExpiredTime
Set [Forms]![DetectIdleTime].ExpiredTime = 0
End Sub
