Exporting a report to Excel, some data is wrong

When I export a report to Excel, in a certain field.. and only some
records show up incorrectly.

Examples:
416D-02 appears as 4.1
420D-02 appears as 4.2

the field is Text format in the report. At first I thought it was
something crazy that had to do with the hyphen, but there are other
ones with hyphens that export correctly, like D5G-00

When I export this same report to .snp or .rtf I don't have the
problem, but I need to have this in Excel.
Does anyone have a clue??
