how to set focus

I want to set focus on qty text box after I fill up other text boxes on
the base of my combo box.
i used this code Me.qty.SetFocus and it says youcant set focus untill
you save the record.

Private Sub Product_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer)
Me.Manufacturere = Me.Product.Column(2)
Me.indays = Me.Product.Column(6)
Me.txtUnitPrice = Me.Product.Column(7)

Use the AfterUpdate event instead.

Me.Due = Me.txtGTotal - Me.Paid
End Sub

is it possible if i change the value of "paid" then me.Due changes its
value while our focus is still in me.paid. I tried this code on change
event too, did not work properly
