groupby in query and then pass to expression as recordset..IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Let's say I have the following table:
A B C D
-----------
1 1 1 6
1 1 2 7
2 2 3 8
2 2 4 9

I want to group based on "A B" which should give me to recordset:

Group where"A B" = "1 1" has recordset :
C D
----
1 6
2 7

And group where "A B" = "2 2" has recorset:

C D
----
3 7
4 8

Now let's say I want to pass each recordset to a function and get some
results back.

The obvious way to do it is to first find distinct values of "A B" and
then in VB find each recordset and pass to function. Is there an easier
way to do this?
