Exporting memo columns to separate files

How can I export a table such that data in memo columns is sent to
separate files, with placeholders in the main file?

Thanks,

Andy

You would need to create a new table_/1, with the primary key of your
existing table and a filename field, parse the recordset to save each
memo field to a file using the open# and put statements, store the
fieldname of the file so created, then create a query that joins the
two tables and includes all fields from the original excep the memo and
the fieldname from the new table, then export the query.

_/1 or add the field to the table.

Thanks - I've now found a way to handle my exported data as a single
file, but the problem now is that the memo columns contain carriage
returns, which is confusing the destination software. Is there some
(preferably simple) way I can convert these during the export?
