can an update query do different values

I was updating a field based on the values in another field.
this is simple but then I thought of something different.

can you say update fieldname1 to a 1 if fieldname5 has a 1 else
update fieldname1 to a 0.

I don't think this can be done but I wanted to ask.

Sure, why not.

Update YourTable Set YourTable.[Field1] = IIf(YourTable.[Field5] =
1,1,0)

Worked like a champ I just dropped the where clause.
was not sure if an update query would work without a where clause but
I learned something new

thanks for your help
