Preserving wordwrap in MS Word (rtf) exports

When I use the "publish it in Word" option for an Access 2000 report, the
fields of long, wrapped text become single lines followed by hard-returns.
Difficult for the editing that I must subsequently do in the Word document.
Any way around this?
