Macro security level

I've been using Access 2003 databases for a while.

Suddenly, yesterday, whenever my users open a database, they get a
warning message saying something about "block unsafe expressions", and
then, when they answer "Open", they get a screen stating that "Unsafe
expressions are not blocked" - "Microsoft Jet 4 Service Pack 8 must be
installed".

Does anyone know why suddenly I need the service pack, and my database
won't open without warning? I have tried to set the macro security
level to low, but Access resets it to Medium and I get back the
messages.

Thanks in advance,
