Slightly O.T. - seeking documentation of the microsoft user interface specification

MLH
I want to read more about the microsoft user interface specification
for windows applications. I know there are standards that have been
developed and I want to gain a little more expertise in the topic.
Seeking Web Resources Recommendations?
