Using wildcards in Crosstab Queries

P: n/a
Access 2002

I have a crosstab that is based on another query that references
criteria from combo boxes on a form. I have defined the parameters in
the crosstab and it works fine unless I use the "All" selection in the
combo. ("All" is added to the combo using a union statement with a
value of "*") I get a datatype mismatch error when using the "*". If
I leave the combo blank, then the crosstab works. But I use these same
combo's as criteria for other queries that require the "*" at times.

Any and all suggestion are truly appreciated!
