I've never done this with a AS400 Database, but if memory serves
(working on other databases), you need to create a DSN in the ODBC.INI
file. Finding that can be a trick, but it's usually in the
C:\windows\ or C:\windows\system32\ folder.
There _is_ a microsoft knowledge base article on this, but I've long
since forgotten the number. A search at
<http://support.microsoft.com/> should find it fairly quickly.

I NEED TO USE A DSN!!!! THAT WAS MY QUESTION!!!
Access DAO tabledefs and querydefs do not work with dsn-less connection
strings.

news:11**********************@g43g2000cwa.googleg roups.com... did you check Carl Prothman's site? I know for sure he has a DSN-less
connection there.
