error message 3343

I have copied my database onto a DVd and brought it home to work on but when
I tried to open it from the DVD (datadisk),I got the below error message.
What am I doing wrong ?

Unrecognized database format <filename>. (Error 3343)

It appears that the burn to the DVD disk didn't go properly. However, you
may try copying the file off of the DVD to the hard drive and see if that
works better. Depending on your OS, you may need to right click the file on
the hard drive, choose Properties, and uncheck the Read Only box. Some OSes
leave that checked when copying from a CD/DVD and some don't.
