problems compiling with Listview control

I'm following the article from

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;155178

The above article explains how to fill a listview. For some reason I
keep recieving "User-defined type not defined" on line

Dim NewLine As ListItem

there is a note in the article that says:
"NOTE: If you try to compile this function before you insert the
ListView control into your form, you receive the following error:"

Well I have inserted the ListView every way I can imagine to no avail
-- I still recieve the same error in the same place.

Can anyone help? Perhaps I'm missing a reference?

Thanks,
Derek

When I click the "More Tools" option on the toolbar I find the many
many many controls.

I find it odd that there are 3 mentions to List View:
List View
Miscrosoft ListView Control, version 5.0 (sp2)
Miscrosoft ListView Control, version 6.0

Migh this be causing my problem?

Thanks,
Derek

Just something to try. Open the form in design view. Select from menu
Insert/ActiveX Control, and insert the Listview again even if you already
see a Listview on the form. Assuming the form already has a Listview,
delete the control you just added while it is still highlighted, This works
with a Treeview to reestablish the reference.
This is just an observation I made, and it is offered for whatever it is
worth.
