Strange behaviour on startup when project is signed

Hi,

I have noticed some strange behaviour when loading my database. I load
a menu form on startup; this form contains a linked image to display.
If the project is not then signed, the menu form loads normally,
briefly displaying a loading picture progress window before the form
appears. However, if I digitally sign the VB project, the image loading
progress window flashes repeatedly many times before the menu finally
loads.

Has anyone seen any behaviour like this before? If so, is there
anything that I can do to remedy it?

Kind regards,

Ian Gaskell

Not that I know anything specific about these symptons caused by signing,
but have you tried any tricks to remedy this, like setting the image's
visible property to false and only setting it to true in the form's load
event. Or perhaps turning off screen updating (DoCmd.Echo False), opening
the form and then turning it back on.
