Perhaps someone has experience these two problems and if there are any
fixes or workarounds, I sure would like to know. I'm using Access 97.
When exporting data in html from one database that includes the "time"
in any format, during the import process there is an error and creates
a table indicating that it is a "Type Conversion Error." I have checked
the table field type in the import database and it is correct -
Date/Time, including the import Specs. Any date without the time is
imported with no problems. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing
this error?
The other html import problem relates to null fields in the export
database. After the data is imported, the code using null expressions
fails because technically the fields are not null. Hitting the delete
twice clears whatever is in the field and makes it null and the code
runs fine. Apparently, there are two hidden/invisible characters in all
of the imported null fields. They are not zero length strings - try
that approach. Have been unable to display what they are and have
assumed that they are some type of html tags. Does anyone know of a
workaround for this problem?
Thanks for your time and assistance.
