.mde on different Office versions

Could someone answer these two questions with absolute certainity:

1. Does .mde prepared on Access 2003 work with Access2002 ?
2. Does .mde prepared on Access 2000 work with Access 2002 and Access 2003 ?

Please, note that questions are regarding only .mde, not .mdb.

Thanks in advance,

Zlatko
