Registering MPE with Access 2003

A database converted from Access 97 to Access 2003 contained code to
load jpeg photos into Microsoft Photo Editor.

As Office 2003 Professional does not come with Microsoft Photo Editor,
is there any way to register the copy from the Office 97 disk with the
with Access 2003 programme. The solutions which I've seen to date (i.e.
on Microsoft's web site - KB817095) do not seem to work. One of the
problems is that KB817095 refers to Office XP. Reinstallation of
Microsoft Photo Editor from Office 97 does not resolve the problem.

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

I've used the Stephan Lebans code in our datavase and it works
brilliantly. However, we have two machines running Win 2K and I cannot
get the code to work in as much as it refuses to load the picture file.

Stephan Lebans refers to the gdiplus.dll file, which is available on his
web site and the text file in the distribution states that "For Windows
2000, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 98, install
gdiplus.dll into the private directory of the application not into the
system directory." I've copied the file into the directory in which the
database resides and the Office11 directory in which msaccess.exe (2003)
resides. Am I missing something?
