Acess developer researching non-Access web based database

Hello, My input normally regards Access, but thought I'd post this
question to a few of my Access groups about a more general database
curiosity.

I'm helping out a music band that does their own promotion. There's 4
members ... they don't live or work together, have MACs and PCs with
different operatimg systems, and they all were hoping to share a
promotional database...basically a contact database that can pull very
basic filters/queries, create phone lists and mailing labels. I don't
think it even needs to be relational. I'll help train them to create
templates and basic query logic.

I'm trying to find a web based database service which doesn't charge an
arm and a leg. QuickBase looked good, but they charge too much..don't
seem to have something for smaller businesses.
(https://www.quickbase.com/p/CWHome.asp?ps=CW) Yahoo groups offers a
"database" but it just seems to be tables, as far as we can tell. No
GUI or other features. E-Tapestry offers something in this vein
(http://www.etapestry.com/eTapFoundat...dation_fs.html) but
you need to be a nonprofit.

Does anybody know of other services out there?

You can get web hosting which includes SQL server for less than AU$40 a
month. (eg www.apexhost.com.au)

Check out http://www.brinkster.com
They have several options available including some free ones. I think
they even have a few 'templates' that you can use to get you started.
