Summarizing values for "duplicate" records

I have a table with only two columns (created from query of a much
larger database). The first column contains many "duplicate" names
or ID, and the second column contains values which need to be
summarized by by each name or ID. How can I do this automatically?

Here's the example of what I have now:

ID COUNT

1 8

1 4

1 3

2 1

2 2

3 2

And, here are the results I'd like to have:

ID COUNT

1 15

2 3

3 2

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
