thanks for your answer.
I allready retreive data in excel via Oledb (i think it's oleDB). I
just wondered how to adjust the speed that is used to update the data
in excel.
I figured the following:
I used tools -> options -> advanced -> update interval (translated from
danish, might not be correct translated).
I set it to 30 sec. can someone confirm that that is the right place to
set the interval for updates?

No - it isn't. Tools>Options>Advanced is in MS Access. You do not need to
open Access - you do not need to have this program on your computer - and
you cannot speed anything up by changing any settings here. It is not
Access which pushes the data out - it is Excel that pulls it in.
In Excel, Right-click any toolbar and choose to show the "External Data"
toolbar. Then select the data range and from the toolbar select the Data
Range Properties. It is here that you can set the refresh interval.
If you want to see it work, set the refresh interval to 1 minute and open
the database, as you change the data in the .mdb file you will see it get
automatically refreshed on you Excel spreadsheet.
