Combine 2 memo fields and insert a blank line

I am trying to write an Update query to update a field by combining 2
other fields. However, there is a slight twist. I wish to insert a
carriage return or a blank line in between the 2 fields. Can this be
done and if so how?

air code: (not syntactically correct, but the general idea)
field1 & vbcrlf & field2
or for a blank line: field1 & vbcrlf & vbcrlf & field2
vbcrlf stands for visual basic carriage return line feed

Thanks. Found a solution elsewhere. Used + chr(13) + chr(10) + chr(13)
+ chr(10)
