Primary Key question

ken
When you have a text primary key thus no duplicates and through a form
you enter a duplicate value into the primary key...is there anyway
through events to tell the user that they entered a duplicate value and
to delete the record. When I do this in a table access kinda expects me
to revise my entry, but I want it to actually undo my entry and start
from scratch. Does that make sense?
