Control form movement

P: n/a
I have a form that opens maximized and requires scrolling down to see
all the textboxes. When you enter a textbox in the lower portion of the
form the Enter event opens a large textbox with a large font. This
allows the inputter to see from a distance what was just scanned in
from the barcoded label on a parcel. When the large textbox closes it
transfers its contents to the smaller textbox.
My problem is what happens when the large textbox closes.
The form scrolls up to the upper portion of the form away from the
small textbox.
Since the large textbox opens just below the small textbox I would like
it close with the small textbox still visible.

How can I stop the detail section of the form from moving???

Thanks RICK

"Text Box closes?" Do you mean you set its Visible property to False? Forms
larger than one screen often exhibit what seem to us to be "quirks". The
first, and easiest, thing to try is, in the code that "closes" the large
Text Box, use the .SetFocus method to set the focus to the smaller Text
Box --

Me!txtWhateverItsName.SetFocus

Otherwise, to assure it does what you want, revise the Form so that
everything fits on one screen... put your large Text Box in a Form that you
embed in a Subform Control... put the smaller Text Box in another Form, and
when you want to "close" the large one, change the Source Object of the
(same) Subform Control to the Form containing the smaller Text Box.

Half the battle in "quick and easy" application development is having a feel
for those things that seem "quirky" and handling them a different way so as
to avoid the "quirks".
