Filtering data entry in forms

Hi all,

I'm still fairly new to Access and I was hoping to get some assistance
with something I have yet to accomplish. The desired result is a form
where users can enter data but for a few select fields, the data that
is available to be entered is filtered based on a selection made in
another field.

Right now, I have a table created for the form where customer
information & payment information are standard text fields. There is
also a field in this same table that is a lookup column referencing a
list of reasons for entering the record.

I have another table with a list of resolutions that depending on the
reason selected in the form, only a portion of the resolutions should
be available. In the resolutions table, I have each resolution, and in
another column, the corresponding reason that it should be filtered by.

First, do I have this set up correctly to incorporate this into a form?
Second, if this is the correct setup (or even possible) how can I set
the form up to filter a field based on another field's selection?

Thanks,

Chris

This is the standard "filter one combo/listbox based on the contents of
some other control", so read this article:
