Summarize Text

Is there a way to summarize text in a report section footer, almost the
equivalent of =Sum(Quantity) for text.

One order can contain multiple line items of either the same product or
of several different products. In my report the detail is set to
invisible with the section footer showing only the total quantity for
that order plus the product or (if possible) products that make up that
total.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your help

Reports CAN do all this.

To print the quantity total, you must first convert the "number" into either
an integer (no decimals required) or a single (now tell it how many decimal
points you want). In this case, your best option is the integer. A function
exists that performs this conversion for you. Check the help system for it -
the exercise has the potential of helping you become familiar with all of
them.

Look into sub-reports as a way to provide the rest of what you want to do.
Again - the help system needs to become your best friend.

Hope this helps - Good Luck
