auto delete in windows xp

I use netzero and they are always downloading ads on my computer. I've found
where they are stored and the file names. I'd like to write a few lines that
would delete these files when I start or shutdown my computer. I can I do
this using windows XP. It would also be great if I could create a desktop
shortcut to make it work also. Any ideas???

Thanks in advance "T"

Hi Terry,

First you didn't explain what netzero was. A quick search on google gave me
the answer, it's an ISP. After looking at their web site I found out that
they offer an ad-supported free service. If you don't want them to place ads
on your computer, cancel your account with them, change to a pay account or
change providers.

You might have a better chance at asking for advice in a newsgroup that
specialises in batch files, or Windows XP. I don't know exactly which group
to point you to but that might give you an idea where to look.

Jeff

p.s. By the way, I'd never, I mean NEVER sign up to anything, including an
ISP, which places ads on my computer.

Terry,

If you delete those files Netzero will redownload them again next time you
connect to the Internet reducing bandwidth for HTML and other files you
download.
