Two or more Access Reports -> a Single Snapshot file

P: n/a
Hope someone can help.

I have an application whereby in order to create one document type I
effectively print out 3 or 4 access reports in correct order. So the
user goes to the printer, collects the report and has no idea that 3 or
4 reports were actually created in order to produce the printed copy.

I now have a need to send that same report to a 'Snapshot' file. Is
there a way to combine separate Access reports and have them included in
the one Snapshot file.

I am aware that Adobe Acrobat Professional can merge multiple pdf's into
one pdf, but in this instance that is not available to me.

Thanks in Advance

Don't think it's possible.

Why not create a new report and add the 4 reports a sub-reports?

Hmmm didn't think of that. I've just tested some reports where I do
have subreports embedded and they are outputted to a snapshot file, no
problems.

For this one particular document that I'm trying to combine into one
snapshot file, the first page has certain formatting (will always be
just one page) and the following pages (can be multiple) are in a
completely different formatting. In some instances there will be other
pages again in completely different formatting. (What I am doing is
duplicating an existing hardcopy forms).

Maybe it's been fixed, but I remember in previous versions the snapshot
would not retain sub reports...... (or am I thinking of other export
formats.....arghhh:)

Hi
works for me in access97

You (ie the original poster) could also output the report to pdf,
which many users prefer.
