use dao to create odbc link table and saving the password

P: n/a
in DAO, I'm using the dbAttachSavePwd flag in the CreateTableDef
function

and it saves a userid / password, but not the one I specified in the
connection string

I dropped the table first with
db.Execute "DROP TABLE tblX;"

then I recreate the link to the sql server table with
strConnect =
"ODBC;DATABASE=baandb;UID=abc;PWD=123;DSN=baan SQL"
strSource = "tblX"
Set tdf = db.CreateTableDef("tblX",
dbAttachSavePWD, strSource, strConnect)
With db.TableDefs
.Append tdf
.Refresh
End With
displaying the value of tdf.connect before the 'append', shows UID of
'abc'

displaying the value of tdf.connect after the 'append', shows UID
of 'xyz', which is also a valid UID and the UID of the original link,
but I'm trying to change in to 'abc'

what am I missing ?
