check constraint message

P: n/a
Is there a way I can have some sort of custom message for a CHECK
CONSTRAINT in SQL SERVER 2000, instead of it saying that it failed on
an insert on such a table in such a database, id rather give them a
meaningful message

Yes, if you are doing things in a Form (you write a handler for the
OnError event).

If you are directly editing data in a linked table, then no.
