Assigning a Data Type to a Combo in VBA

A2003, XP Pro SP2

I have a combo box set to look up field names from a table. I want to
be able to get the data type of the field chosen by the combo and assign
that type to another combo box that is used to look up the values in
that chosen field.

I'm using this to get the data type:

Dim intType As Integer
intType = Me.RecordsetClone.Fields(cbfField1).Properties("Ty pe")

which works (returns 4 for "Long") but how do I assign the result to
another combo?

Many thanks.
Keith.
