values are not going into table.

I have an invioce form which has one master form and one subform in it.
Subform is getting values from a previous form SaleDetail, i.e. default
values are =[Forms]![frmSale]![SaleDetail].[Form]![fields]. I have
seperate table for invoicedetail(subform) and I have set control source
property to tblInvoiceDetail. Now I am not able to save these values in
my table. Can any one help me what am I doing wrong here?

Are you entering something? A form will not create a record based on Default
Values alone. At least one field has to have a value set either
programmatically or by the user.

I am entering a value in master form but nothing in the detail form bcz
It is getting all the values from previous form. Is it possible to do
it programmatically bcz I don't want my user to enter the values.
Basically I want to save my sales values as invoice values too. Can you
help or do u have any sample database.

Sounds like a bad design to me (copying data almost always is), but you
could have code in the open event of the form that sets just one of the
values in the detail form instead of relying on the default property. Then
a record will be created.

Khan might be better off running an update query when data from the main
form is entered and then requerying the subform.

is there any other way you could suggest how to take values in the
invoice from sale and sale detail.
